Subject: ODG: Private and Public Law Conference

Dear Colleagues:

Some of you might be interested in the following:

                          CALL FOR PAPERS

                        PRIVATE LAW CONFERENCE

"PRIVATE AND PUBLIC LAW - INTERSECTIONS IN LAW AND METHOD"

                           July 21 - 22, 2011

                        TC Beirne School of Law
                        University Of Queensland
                           Brisbane, Australia

This conference will provide a forum for exploring some of
the meeting points of private and public law and the
increasingly common and often complex intersection between
statutory and common law methods for implementing public
     and private ends.

     TOPICS:

Topical examples of such intersections are to be found in
the statutory recognition of privacy rights; trusts
regulation; 'policy' debates in private law; public body
liabilities; the impact of human rights in private law; and
moves toward (partial) statutory codifications of private
     law.

Contributions are invited on any topic of private law
theory, doctrine or method within the broad conference
     theme.
